Toshiba arrives this year with its new model, the Toshiba PDR-M70 which is a special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was presented in North America on the 08/1/00. The Toshiba PDR-M70 is sold at a price of 899in the US, a very fair price. This nice little piece of technology measures 116 x 76 x 62 mm while weights 390 g. The PDR-M70 gets a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 1024 x 768. The ratio of the image on the Toshiba PDR-M70 is 4:3, for a total of 3.1 mega pixels. The sensor of the PDR-M70 is a CCD measuring only 1/1.8 " having a RGB color filter.

Toshiba implemented a digital zoom on the PDR-M70 and included an internal flash which is always essential in a camera . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 80 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the PDR-M70 is 8 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/1000 seconds. The Toshiba PDR-M70 has an internal storage space of 16 mb extendable with SmartMedia. The LCD implemented in the PDR-M70 measures 1.8 ". A video output is available letting you see your pictures on television.

USB connectivity to a computer is supported. To conclude, we truly think the Toshiba PDR-M70 is a fantastic camera and we would encourage you to consider this great camera.
