Toshiba is back with its new camera, the Toshiba PDR-M60 which is a great camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was unveiled in the US on the 03/2/00. The Toshiba PDR-M60 will be sold for 500in North America, considered affordable for such a camera. This model measures 121 x 75 x 61 mm while it weights only 320 g. The PDR-M60 gets a maximum resolution of 1792 x 1200. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 896 x 600. The image ratio (w/h) on the Toshiba PDR-M60 has been set at 3:2, making a total of 2.2 mega pixels. The internal sensor on the PDR-M60 is a CCD which measures only 1/2 " with a RGB color filter.

Toshiba included a digital zoom on the PDR-M60 and included an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 50 cm. The min. shutter speed of the PDR-M60 is 2 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/1000 seconds. The Toshiba PDR-M60 camera has an internal storage of 4 mb and can be extended with external storage by using SmartMedia. The LCD screen of the PDR-M60 diagonally measures 1.8 ". A video output is available letting you see your pictures on television.
